Playground Upgrade at Anderson Elementary
The new playground at Anderson Elementary officially opened on Tuesday! Updates include new equipment, improved safety features, and play options for all abilities. Thank you to the Bondurant-Farrar Parent Teacher Organization for their support in completing this project. We’re excited to see students enjoying this improved space!
High School Addition & Renovations
Students have begun using our new and renovated spaces! The new art classrooms, expanded multipurpose/wrestling room, larger strength and conditioning area, and expanded cafeteria are already in use, while final touches continue. Newly renovated classrooms for choir and industrial technology are supporting programs as they grow, and our updated athletic training room is now better equipped to support student athletes. It’s been exciting to see students move into these areas, and we look forward to watching them continue to thrive.
Community Open House: We are planning an open house event later this fall, likely the week of October 20, to give families and community members a chance to tour the new spaces and see the improvements firsthand. Stay tuned for more information!

Art Mural Ribbon Cutting
Last week, the City of Bondurant hosted a ribbon cutting to celebrate the new mural just south of the park. The project was led by artist Chris Vance in collaboration with Mr. Golightly and a group of our high school art students. These ongoing collaborations with Mr. Vance give students unique opportunities to participate in the public art process while leaving a lasting impact on the community. Way to go!
Progress on New Activities Complex
Site work is underway on the new outdoor activities spaces at the high school. The complex will feature turf baseball and softball fields, tennis and pickleball courts. The project is an exciting step forward for Bluejay athletics, with the complex set to open by summer 2026.

New Elementary & Access Road
Exciting progress is happening on our future elementary school! City crews have started work on Truman Drive, the new road off 2nd Street (just north of the “old” Casey’s), which will lead to the school.
The exact grades served at the new elementary will be determined later this year, depending largely on class sizes and projected growth. The building is designed with flexibility for the future and could potentially become a PK–4 site as the surrounding area develops.
We expect to break ground on the school later this fall or early spring, with an anticipated opening in Fall 2027.
