Anderson Elementary Welcomes New Dean of Students

Mark Rixner comes to the district from North Polk Community School District, where he served as Dean of Students at North Polk’s High School and Central Elementary. Mark has also worked as an Academic Interventionist for North Polk and previously held a variety of K-12 teaching roles in the Des Moines Metro area, bringing an abundance of experience to his new position.

Mark holds principal licensure from Viterbo University, a master’s degree from Drake University, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa. His extensive background in education, along with his proven leadership and relationship-building skills, make him a strong fit for Anderson Elementary.

We are thrilled to welcome Mr. Rixner to the Bondurant-Farrar family. His dedication to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment will ensure a positive impact on our students and staff.
