School Parking & Driving Permits

  • STUDENT PARKING OPTIONS

    There are two options for students wishing to park vehicles at the school during the school day/year and all are required to obtain a parking permit and vehicle tag. 

    • PAID Parking: Located in the main parking lots adjacent to the high school. Permits are $40 for the entire school year and can be purchased online via RevTrak. 
    • FREE Parking: Designated spots on the west portion of the junior high parking lot (click here for map). Sign-up is required and permits are issued annually on a first come, first served basis. 

    *Permit tags will be distributed to students during the first week of school.

    SCHOOL DRIVING PERMITS

    Eligibility requirements for a school driving permit: The student must have an instruction permit for at least six months, must complete an Iowa-approved driver education course, and must have a clean driving record for at least six consecutive months immediately before applying for the school permit and live one mile or more from school, unless the school board determines a special need exists (extra-curricular activities, etc.).

    *To schedule a time and apply for a school permit, please contact Kristy Lorber (lorberk@bfschools.org) in the HS office. Students must bring the following:

    1. Parent/Guardian
    2. Completed and signed DOT Affidavit for Minor School License
