The Altoona Lions Club has volunteer opportunities they would like to offer Bondurant-Farrar students (ages 14 and up years old) that want to earn silver cord credits for graduation. The students will be helping the Lions Club members in the spin art booth at the State Fair. Two or three students will be working with one or two Lions Club members on each shift. Each shift is four hours and the times are 9:00-1:00, 1:00-5:00 and 5:00-9:00 each day of the fair. The Lions Club will provide each volunteer student with a free admission ticket to the fair. The students can ride a Dart bus from the Southeast Polk High school to the fairgrounds. If the student shows their prepaid ticket to the people in the Dart bus ticket booth, the student will be able to ride the bus for half price (round trip). If any parent would also want to volunteer with the student, a free admission ticket will also be provided.
