We are working to enhance safety and traffic flow at both campuses during pickup and drop-off times, and want to make you aware of two new improvements that are scheduled to begin on Monday, November 20.
High School/Junior High Campus: The temporary stop signs already in use during dismissal, stopping traffic along Grant Street at the south entrance of the high school, will now also be utilized in the mornings from 7:30-8:15 am.
Morris/Anderson/Intermediate Campus: A new temporary stop sign at the intersection of Garfield Street SW and Grant Street S, will be utilized in the mornings from 7:20-8:10 am, creating a 3-way stop. The map attached to this email indicates the location of this new sign. This will not be utilized in the afternoons.
Staff will be on-site to assist during the first two days of implementation, November 20-21. We will assess the impacts on traffic flow and communicate any necessary changes after Thanksgiving break.
