Bluejay Beginnings Preschool
Thank you for your interest in the Bluejay Beginnings Preschool Program, part of the Bondurant-Farrar Community School District. This program is available to families that have children between the ages of 3 and 4. The preschool program is intended for all children, regardless of background or disability. The program allows students the opportunity to interact with peers to build positive social skills, experience routines and classroom structure, explore learning through music and movement, and develop pre-literacy and math skills, all in an early childhood classroom.
The 2019-2020 Bluejay Beginnings Preschool Program will begin on Wednesday, September 4, 2019, in its new location at Morris Elementary.
For the 3-year-old program, a monthly tuition (Sept.-May) is due at the first of each month. To make an online payment, please use the RevTrak link, under the Parents & Students section, at the top of this page.
We are happy to announce that tuition assistance is available for our 3-year old program, to all families who qualify under the state income guidelines. Tuition assistance is made possible through the financial support of Polk County (ECI) Early Childhood Iowa. Tuition assistance requests can be made within the online registration application and proper documentation must be provided to the district registrar before the February 28th deadline to qualify. Questions? Please contact the District Office at 515-967-7819.
The 4-year-old program is funded by the Statewide Voluntary Preschool Program which means there is no cost to families. Families of students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) are asked to contact the school for information regarding special education services.
Classes will meet four days a week for a half-day.

3-Year Old Program Tuition
A notable change for the upcoming 2019-2020 school year will be the monthly tuition fee. Tuition fees of $150 per month have not increased in over 10 years and are not covering our current expenses. We are evaluating our current fee structure and expect a significant increase in tuition. Once an increase has been determined we will share it with families and make it available on our website.
