  • Board Highlights from the November 14 Meeting

    Meeting Highlights: 

    • Donovan Hill, the district’s career readiness teacher leader, presented on Portrait of a Graduate, a process that will engage PK-12 staff and the broader community to define a collective vision for Bondurant-Farrar graduates that ensures they are choice-ready for life’s multiple pathways. 
    • Received updates from building and district administrators.
    • Received updates from four superintendent advisory committees - School Improvement Advisory Committee (SIAC), student achievement, communication and finance.
    • Entered a closed session, per Iowa Code, to discuss the purchase or sale of real estate.
    • The board will vote to fill a member vacancy during their December 12 meeting due to a resignation.

  • Bluejay Way Community Partner Award: Kristin Swift

    On November 14, 2022, Kristin Swift was presented with the Bluejay Way Community Partner Award by Superintendent Rich Powers and members of the Bondurant-Farrar Board of Education. An active volunteer in the Bondurant community for over 20 years, Swift has held leadership roles in numerous school-affiliated parent organizations and currently serves as board president, with 13 years as an elected school board member.

  • Winter Weather Communication

    The Bondurant-Farrar Community School District utilizes the Infinite Campus notification system to distribute emergency alerts and district communications via phone, email, and text. This system uses contact information input by parents and guardians during the annual registration process. It is important that contact information is up-to-date so that timely information can be distributed to parents and guardians.

  • Setting Up Notifications & Payment of School Meals

    activate low balance notifications for mealsThere have been updates within RevTrak that have changed the way school fees are paid. In the past, when your family account dropped below a certain dollar amount, our system would send an automated email alerting you of this. This year, families need to activate that function in order to receive notifications.  

    Families may be eligible for free or reduced-priced meals based on household income. Applications are available online at www.bfschools.org/Page/1128
