ADDRESSING FOOD INSECURITIES (Click Here)

The Bondurant-Farrar Education Foundation partnered with Facebook to support area families during the pandemic by donating $5,000 to the Food Bank of Iowa. Sam Kluesner, our district social worker, has been a key advocate for Bondurant-Farrar families who need additional support. Since the start of the pandemic, Ms. Kluesner and our PK-12 counseling team have worked together with the Food Bank of Iowa to host several pop-up food pantries. Their efforts have helped address food insecurities within our district during these times. Throughout this process Lexi Prigge with the Food Bank of Iowa has been an outstanding partner to the district and community in supporting students and families. Other ways members of our team work to address food insecurities is through The BackPack Program which provides food to low-income children on the weekends. Board member Stacia Sanny was key in bringing this program to Bondurant-Farrar.
