PROGRESS ON JUNIOR HIGH BUILDING (Click Here)

In October members of the Board of Education and administrative team were joined by representatives from Story Construction, SVPA Architects, and the City of Bondurant in a symbolic turning of soil at the site of our new junior high building. Since the groundbreaking, construction has been moving along as scheduled. The foundation is nearly finished which is an important step in the timeline to a projected fall of 2022 opening. We’d like to share a few aerial shots that were taken on December 9.

    ADDRESSING FOOD INSECURITIES (Click Here)

The Bondurant-Farrar Education Foundation partnered with Facebook to support area families during the pandemic by donating $5,000 to the Food Bank of Iowa. Sam Kluesner, our district social worker, has been a key advocate for Bondurant-Farrar families who need additional support. Since the start of the pandemic, Ms. Kluesner and our PK-12 counseling team have worked together with the Food Bank of Iowa to host several pop-up food pantries. Their efforts have helped address food insecurities within our district during these times. Click the header above to learn more and view a picture from the December 3 check presentation.

GRAB & GO MEALS (Click Here)

The free grab-and-go meal program is going well and we’ve received great feedback. Earlier this week we began offering meals at the exits of each building to allow convenient pick up at the conclusion of the school day. Both breakfast and lunch is provided and participation helps support our nutrition program. If you would rather not utilize the free grab-and-go meal program, please notify your child’s teacher.
