  • Seeking Feedback on Next Year's Proposed School Calendar

seeking input on draft calendarThe district is seeking feedback on the proposed 2024-25 academic calendar. Currently, Iowa law prohibits districts from setting school start dates prior to August 23. In light of that information, we invite you to review the current calendar draft and provide your input through the electronic form linked below. Feedback received by noon on Friday, January 19 will be shared with the Bondurant-Farrar Board of Education in advance of their January 22 meeting.

Review and provide input here: https://www.bfschools.org/Page/1206

Please note - In the event that updated legislation is released allowing for an earlier school start date, we will adjust accordingly. However, extended breaks and conferences would generally remain unchanged.

  • A Note Regarding the Current School Calendar

As of January 16, Bondurant-Farrar has canceled three school days due to winter weather. The current academic calendar incorporates two designated snow days.

Currently, no determinations have been made regarding potential adjustments to the final day of the school year. Much of this depends on what the rest of the winter has in store for us. Should calendar changes become necessary, we will communicate the details with all members of our school community.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to make the best decisions for our students, families, and staff. Thank you!
